We are meeting on Wednesday this week. We will close out 2014 with Captain George Swartwood and Detective Jared Luciano talking to us about the heroin problem and other problems confronting the Martinsburg Police Department. Once or twice a week you read about drug overdoses, primarily by young people. We will learn what is being done to curb this invasion of drugs.
Last Week
We didn’t meet. The week before we were treated to a slide presentation of the lives of Craig and Elaine Bartoldson and their family. It’s always fun to have new member biographies.
Miniwheels
Maria Lorensen and Sandy Hamilton were elected to the board of directors. The Bartoldsons have volunteered to host Clara Opdebeeck, our exchange student. The Taste of the Panhandle committee is still looking for items for the silent auction.
